Veterans call on Bill Posey to clean up his act

August 10, 2020 by gwat1966 in Uncategorized

Local veterans are rallying behind retired Air Force Col. and 8th Congressional District candidate Scott Caine after a series of baseless name-calling attacks by a career politician desperate to hold onto power in Washington. Here’s what they have to say:

“It’s pretty sad that a Congressman has to resort to name-calling against a man of such honor like Col. Caine. Scott Caine has served our country for 30 years, risking his life flying combat missions and then leading 30,000 men and women in uniform. The more appropriate name is ‘honorable’ when it comes to Col. Caine. I stand with many Florida veterans who condemn Bill Posey for disrespecting Col. Caine with such childish name-calling.

I stand proud of Col. Caine and know veterans appreciate his willingness to keep serving our country after his decorated military career.”

– MSgt. Frankie Reilly, USAF (Ret.) Pararescueman

“I have a real issue with Bill Posey. I’ve reached out to him and he basically blew me off. I lost my benefits after 17 years of service. I contacted my Congressman and he did NOTHING. So for Posey to go out there and act like he’s done a lot for the military, I take issue with that.

I’m proud to be a highly decorated combat Veteran and for ANYONE to disparage any of my brothers or sisters in arms shows exactly the caliber and character of the person who does so. It also tells me Posey couldn’t possibly have ever served. For him to refer to a FIGHTER pilot as a RINO is such a slap in the face, not only to my father and uncles who gave their lives for this country and her freedom, but to all those brave men and women who came before us. It makes me snot-slinging mad!”

– LN1 Brenda Donohoe USN (Ret.) Fleet Marine, Naval AirCrewman, Surface Warfare Specialist

“Bill Posey says he is for Veterans. That is, until an extremely decorated Veteran like Col. Scott Caine wants to hold Bill accountable.

Posey joined with Democrats to embarrass President Trump – the only Republican to do so. Shame on Posey. He has let my fellow Veterans and me down by NOT supporting President Trump.

WE need to hold Bill accountable for his promises and inconsistencies.

I’ve called Bill Posey’s office numerous times and I got the run-around. He wants to play both sides and still refuses to do In-Person Town Hall Meetings to answer us face-to-face. I’m a strong conservative and there’s absolutely nothing RINO about Colonel Scott Caine at all. He is a patriotic and honorable man of integrity with an unwavering commitment to the United States. Calling a 30-year Veteran an unsubstantiated name is as low as Bill Posey can go. Americans are tired of these career politicians. We need Colonel Scott Caine, a proven leader, to be our Congressman at this difficult time.”

– MSgt. Ron LaMacchia, USAF (Ret.)

“I wore the uniform in Vietnam and got spit on when returning to the USA. Our military was disrespected back then and anyone who disparages one of my fellow veterans is no friend of mine.

Bill Posey has not been there for veterans, just like many Americans turned their back on me and my brothers who served in Vietnam.

It wasn’t until Ronald Reagan that pride and strength in our military was brought back and President Trump’s strengthening of the military is second to none. We need a man who’s worn the uniform and knows what veterans are going through. Scott Caine has EARNED my vote!”

– Curtis Long, USAF, Vietnam Veteran
